The Nuts and Bolts of Tunnel Barn Cooling:
Dairy Office Computer:
Agpro provides a dedicated computer that is connected to your computer, running existing dairy network and internet service. This computer is used Agpro™s Fan to monitor, record, and send reports concerning the fan mister Mister program system. Agpro maintains access to this computer through the internet. Daily status information is automatically compiled from this unit. Agpro can access files, settings and provide upgrades remotely through this computer. This computer runs Agpro™s fan mister program.
For maximum convenience, the machine can be placed
under a desk next to an office computer with a KVM switch used to
select between the two when needed. For more on this software,
see below.
FM Master:
This unit updates the Fan Mister Remote units with current time,
temperature and humidity information every minute via the wireless
link. The FM Master monitors the activity of each remote unit and
transfers this information to the Agpro™s fan mister program running
on the office computer.
FM Remote:
Each remote unit controls the fans and misters for up to two cow
groups. Each cow group can have two mister solenoids and two
banks of fans. Each remote sends status information to the master
every minute. A manual button provides a way to disable all fans
and misters for a group area for a preset time.
Monitoring & Support:
Agpro will monitor the status of your cow cooling system. Performance
reports are reviewed daily. If equipment failures are detected you will
get a call and email so corrective action can be taken. Remote
monitoring through the web is also possible, so that you can check on
the status of your cooling system while you are away from the
dairy. Consultation is provided concerning cow cooling
strategies; changes are made from the dairy office or Agpro
office. You can rest assured that in the event a problem does
arise, Agpro will do what it takes to get you and your dairy back
online.
